Our Curriculum and Content
At Vetterly Daycare we plan our curriculum and content
based on what is developmentally appropriate for the
children in a given classroom. We strive to meet the
developmental needs of each child as we plan activities in
various areas of learning. Every child will receive an
opportunity to grow and develop in the areas of: science,
math, language arts, fine arts, social interaction and
consciousness, and gross and fine motor skills.
Vetterly Daycare will employ multiple methods of
teaching with a focus on hands-on learning experiences. We
believe children learn best when they actively play and
interact with the environment around them. Children will get
the opportunity to explore and interact as a means to help
them learn. We will also employ an integrated curriculum; a
curriculum in which multiple content areas (science,
language arts, etc.) may be found within one activity.
At Vetterly Daycare, we recognize that every child is a
different and unique individual. We strive to meet the
individual needs of your child and to help them grow and
develop at their own pace. Our goal is to help your child
grow as a whole person. We are here to support and nurture
your child in their mental development as well as their
physical, social, and emotional development. If you have any
questions about our curriculum or content, feel free to ask
your child’s classroom teacher or the center director.
Daily Schedule
Infants
The infant schedule will follow the schedule and needs of
each individual child. These schedules will be based on the
recommendations of the child’s parents or caregivers. Sleep
and feeding schedules will be different based on the
individual child’s needs. Please alert the staff of any
recent changes in your child’s schedule so that we can make
the adjustment.

**The toddler and preschool schedules are flexible
and may change on any given day to accommodate classroom
needs. Routine, however, is very important in the
development of children and we will stick to set schedules
as much as possible so children know what to expect on a
daily basis.
DROP-OFF/PICK-UP
When children are dropped off at the center they must be
accompanied by an adult who is responsible for signing them
in each day. This adult must then escort the children to
their classrooms. Children will not be released to anyone
other than those individuals listed in the child’s file. A
verbal request for the release of the child may be given by
phone should the parent wish to do so. The staff member
taking the call will then complete a Verbal Release form
that will be kept in the child’s file. The individual
picking the child up may be asked to provide some form of
photo identification before the child can be released into
his/her custody. Should a court order regarding parental
custody be in place, a copy must be present in the child’s
file, before our staff can adhere to it.
CONFIDENTIALITY
All of the information contained in a child’s file is
confidential and will not be released to a third party
unless written request from the parent/guardian is received
in advance. Staff members are not permitted to share
information about a child’s behavior or developmental status
with anyone other than the child’s parent or guardian.
